About the speaker
Professor John Edwards is a Chartered Environmentalist and a leading authority on the sustainable retrofit of traditional buildings. As Director of the Environment Study Centre and Edwards Hart Consultants, he has been instrumental in developing key standards such as BS 7913 as lead author and contributing to BSI PAS 2030, PAS 2035, PAS 2038 and the forthcoming BS 40104 a new British Standard for retrofit assessment. His work emphasizes the importance of appropriate interventions that respect the unique characteristics of older structures. Through his courses and publications, Professor Edwards continues to educate professionals on achieving energy efficiency in heritage buildings without compromising their integrity.
