I stayed here for 4 nights. The first night which was ruined because of the noise coming from outside/the car park; my room was right by the pavement and reception area. Some kid decided to play basketball right outside my window at around 7-8PM, which was extremely annoying. The bigger problem however was that the weatherstripping around the window was not properly maintained, so there was an air gap that let in the traffic noise from the nearby A34, not to mention all of the noise from the busy car park.

I reported this on the first night. I was told that there were no rooms that they could move me to at the time, but in all fairness the receptionist did seem fairly sympathetic, and did manage to move me to a much quieter room for the remaining 3 nights the following day. So that redeemed things a bit.
