Friendly receptionist supervisor, hotel was far too hot and with no air con in room made the 2 nights not very pleasant. Booked superior room, full of dust in wardrobe, wasn't clean old and tired and shower only was boiling hot (not what you want in a hotel as hot as an OAP home).

Nice hotel about 30 min walk to centre. Comfortable rooms with large beds. Bathroom was a bit small but good shower. Buffet breakfast was excellent with options for full English plus pastries and cereals, fruit and yoghurt. Parking was £10 and limited spaces so arrive on time if you can. Check-in was supposed to be 3 o clock but called up early and room was ready at 11am at no extra cost.
Enjoyed our stay.

Overnight stays with friends . Hotel on first impression very clean & decorated beautifully. Reception staff very pleasant. Rooms nice, comfortable beds. First stay , single beds & toilet so close to shower screen ,good job we are only short in height..l However it didn't take away the nice experience we had. Staff very attentive, bit slow serving dinner but wasn't in any rush. Lovely breakfast, lots of choices.

Only one meal was edible ..... Avoid dinner here at all costs ......

We had to go to reception and ask about service ....... apparently you have to request at reception for someone to take your order. Rather novel but effective, a lady appeared before we had sat back down .....

We placed our order and eagerly awaited our 9pm dinner ....... there was one other person eating so we were unsure as to what warranted the 35min wait for food ..... It arrived but not together, there was 15mins between the first and last dish coming out ......

I'm sad to say the wait was not justified ...... The fish was solid and rubbery and the burger was so solid you had a job to bite into it and it was totally inedible (it was spat out by a foodie who eats anything!) .......

No one checked back in so we had to find someone to complain to ....... The lady who took the order pulled the burger apart in front of us (blue gloves and all) ..... waved it about and slapped it together before promptly proclaiming ..... yes you are right, I'll tell my manager 🙈🤦

On the plus side reception had some apples on the desk so I grabbed one for the 🐴

The bed is comfortable and the room clean although dated.

There is a raised drain under the hallway carpet (ground floor towards rooms 17-20) that is so well camouflaged I fell over (at 39 I'm pretty stable on my feet!). I told reception and was told, yes that can be a problem. There's no tape or warning.

I'm staying for work and the location is great, outside of the city and really close to a beautiful walk along the river. Parking is a problem, the car park was full by 7 although work had booked and paid for parking.

Decent amount of parking at the hotel, which costs residents £10 per 24 hours. Great receptionist, Josh, who was helpful on arriving. The room was clean , but the bathroom was tiny and difficult to manoeuvre in. Luckily, we had a twin in room 134 as the beds were very bouncy . We had dinner included, but unfortunately the food wasn't very good. Over cooked chicken bits to start and the worst fish and chips I've ever had . None of us enjoyed our food . Breakfast was buffet style and of better quality than dinner . Would we return , probably not .
