Premier Inn Oxford Cowley hotel

It may not seem like much on the outside, but the room was fantastic. Great temperature control, fantastic bathroom situation, comfy bed, and convenient location. Would book here again. Staff wasn't as friendly as I'd hoped, but you can't win 'em all. Was in a wheelchair and had to figure it out on my own as the staff could not be bothered with assisting.

This was, without doubt, the best Premier Inn we have stayed in. Reception was easy and very pleasant, the room was comfortable and adequately supplied with all the trimmings. It was spotless and the beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was superb and the service excellent. We couldn't wish for anything better, especially when the bus stop to and from the city was just outside the Hotel. We're in Cambridge next weekend - I hope it is as good as this one. Thank you to everyone....

I've stayed in plenty of Premier Inn's and usually have a pleasant stay and a comfortable bed. This hotel however was very tired and in desperate need of renovation. The hotel is spread over two buildings so you walk down miles if corridors. Like another reviewer, I was unfortunately on the side of the Eastern bypass and was disturbed by the annoying metal drain that cars drive over, this has not been addressed and should be.
I would not recommend staying here.

Generously sized room, nice variety of furniture, if you would have been able to work and sit at desk height should you needed to use a laptop or similar. The bed and mattress was very comfortable. Good standard of cleanliness throughout.
Only slight negative was the self check in rather than being greeted by a receptionist. Parking is payable via app or at a terminal near the entrance.

We stayed here last week to visit a friend. It We stayed 2 nights the area is near the round about and not far from Oxford city centre. So far this is the biggest Primere inn that we’ve stayed. Parking was good I payed 7.50 for 2 nights parking. The place is clean, there’s a beefeater on site. The room that we stayed in was good with tele, coffees and tea. The only thing the exhaust/extractor in bathroom I’m not sure is working because it takes longer for the mist/steam to disappear. I noticed there’s 2 lift the other one was working and the other one was out of order. The staff are friendly. When you want for a new towels you need to inform the staff. Not like in the other Primere inn that we’ve stayed. They change your towel every day. We enjoyed our stay here.

I went here with my school and we all had different rooms on different floors. The lowest floor had bed bugs, mold and the heater/air conditioners didn’t work. It was quite disgusting and revolting. I recommend getting a room on the second floor or above. They were nice and luxurious. As well as being more modern and bigger.

Ideal location for our purpose & visit to Oxford. Good regular bus service to city centre. Friendly helpful staff, clean facility even with refurb currently on going. Good variation of breakfast and again service & staff was very good.

Had a nice stay in one of the newly refurbished rooms. Well appointed with comfortable bed and nice shower.
Easy enough to catch a bus from the hotel into town ~ 30 mins depending on traffic.

I chose this location as I have used it 5 or 6 times previously but this was the 1st time since COVID.
When we arrived at 1pm it was understandably too early to check in but we were able to at least park and go in and tell the receptionist we were going out and would not be back until about 10.30pm she confirmed that the room would be kept for a later check in.
Tbh alarm bells started to ring when we saw the state of the place on first parking up. The whole of the outside area was filthy rubbish everywhere including the Beefeater linked to it.
On our return back that evening about 10.15pm.after being at the theatre we checked in and was directed to block c. Have only ever stayed in block a before and was unaware previously there was a block c.
The paths to it were unkempt and full of rubbish and cigarette ends. They were mobile refrigeration units running in the car park.
The corridors and stairs were dark and dingy and out room was icy cold. That cold the sheets felt damp. The bathroom was at least clean but that was about it. The heating did not work but there were 2 oil filled radiators in there which we immediately plugged in. The worse was yet to come ....all throughout the night it sounded like the all night traffic was running through our room from the road running parallel and immediately outside our window.
This was definitely not a "Premier" and certainly not an "Easy Sleep" experience. We had no sleep whatsoever.
I have taken recordings of the traffic noise in our room and have attached photos of our experience. So sad I have used this particular Premier Inn for a number of years but never again.
On departing the young receptionist asked me if our stay was okay and I had to tell her how dreadful it was. She simply said" sorry" not her fault. There was little she could do about it. In fact I felt sorry for her as the staff must find it quite depressing.
In the car park as we were leaving another gentlemen parked next to us asked us what we thought. He explained that he had been using it for many years as a central location for meeting annually with old school friends of
60 years but he too said never again and was disgusted with the state of the place. First impressions are so important clearing your car park bins etc would be a good start so the rubbish isn't flowing out into the car park.
