The hotel was beautifully clean and well looked after, and the staff genuinely went above and beyond to make our experience so special. We were celebrating a 21st birthday and hosted our rodeo bull as part of the celebrations! 🐂🎉 The team handled everything with such professionalism, patience and good humour, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for better service.

We will use this hotel again when coming to Oxford as it is located perfectly great price and great food. All you need in a quick break away and not breaking the bank. We normally do spend more but now we realise with this experience you do not have to.
Every single member of staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. Nothing was too much trouble, and it really showed in how smoothly everything ran. Some staff even stayed well beyond their working hours just to be part of our special day, which meant so much to us.
The food was absolutely amazing—not just on the wedding day, but even the night before. Our room was beautifully prepared with a thoughtful congratulations gift, along with balloons and petals, which the kids absolutely loved. It was such a lovely personal touch.
The reception room itself was decorated beautifully—better than I could have imagined—and everything was set up perfectly. Our guests have all said how impressed they were with the hotel, the staff, and the overall experience.
The cleanliness, professionalism, and warmth of the entire team really stood out. By the end of it all, they felt more like friends than staff, which says everything.
We are so grateful and will definitely be returning for our anniversary. I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn to anyone looking for a venue for an event or even just a stay—you won’t be disappointed.
However, there are a few areas that require improvement. The hotel was undergoing construction during my stay, and it would have been helpful to be informed of this in advance, as it impacted the overall atmosphere. Additionally, while the rooms were well-appointed, I found the mattress extremely firm—even with a topper—which resulted in two nights of poor sleep. The pillows were also a single size and lacked comfort, with no alternatives available.
Another important point is the parking. Before booking, the hotel’s website indicated that parking was included, but on arrival, we were charged £6 per day. This inconsistency was disappointing and should be clarified to avoid confusion for future guests.
Overall, while the hotel offers good facilities and a convenient location, the lack of transparency and poor bedding comfort were significant drawbacks. I am unlikely to stay again—or if I do, I will definitely bring my own pillows.

Appreciated the lovely upgraded room and friendly team.
The customer service said it’s executive room in the new wing (this room type is not shown on their website/ or on booking website at all) while the receptionist said it’s premier king there (but I booked a premier super king?). Customer service said “up to you” there’s a surcharge if I want to “upgrade”. What a joke.
The building looks like a hospital. They don’t provide toothpaste toothbrush in the bathrooms unless you go ask them at the reception.
Their Standard is really low. First time with holiday inn and will not stay with them anymore.
The only pro is that the park and ride is 5 mins walk away and offering £8 per day parking on site at the hotel.
