The convenience of the adjacent Park and Ride bus service makes accessing Oxford's city centre, with its historic colleges and museums, a straightforward affair, typically a 12-minute journey. For those travelling by car, the hotel provides easy access to major routes like the A34 and M40, and is also conveniently situated for Oxford Parkway station.
Start your day with a hot or cold breakfast selection, and later, unwind with a meal at the on-site Junction Restaurant, which serves British cuisine, including locally-sourced seasonal dishes. However, there are a few areas that require improvement. The hotel was undergoing construction during my stay, and it would have been helpful to be informed of this in advance, as it impacted the overall atmosphere. Additionally, while the rooms were well-appointed, I found the mattress extremely firm—even with a topper—which resulted in two nights of poor sleep. The pillows were also a single size and lacked comfort, with no alternatives available.
Another important point is the parking. Before booking, the hotel’s website indicated that parking was included, but on arrival, we were charged £6 per day. This inconsistency was disappointing and should be clarified to avoid confusion for future guests.
Overall, while the hotel offers good facilities and a convenient location, the lack of transparency and poor bedding comfort were significant drawbacks. I am unlikely to stay again—or if I do, I will definitely bring my own pillows.
Breakfast is a buffet and everything was well stocked and tasty. Would definitely return
