I called to ask if I can book directly for a more competitive price after seeing the guest house on booking.com
The lady on the phone said I can book on their website. I asked if breakfast was included as it’s included in the price on booking.com as clearly shown in the photo below. She told me it was £8 extra per day per person for continental. I responded and said if I book it on booking.com it’s included to which She rudely snapped that it was incorrect and hung up the phone on me. I called back twice and she did not answer. Unbelievable lack of decency or customer service.

Would not recommend to anyone, I saw the 3.7 star average reviews on Google and thought this hotel would be okay to book for an overnight visit to Oxford. However, many of the reviews do not do the state of the property and the rooms justice. The furniture is definitely older than me (I am nearly 30) and is in an appalling state. Additionally, the shower did not get hot and was barely lukewarm, which meant we were absolutely freezing upon getting out. Additionally, we were extremely worried about bed bugs and kept all of our things elevated as we didn’t want any pests getting in. The staff were really lovely and the location was fantastic, however this was all undermined by the appalling state of the bed, other furniture, lack of a good night’s sleep and the poor state of the property. The property needs a renovation and to expect anyone to stay in such conditions is frankly insulting and shocking! Very disappointed!

The owner and staff were so accommodating, our flight was delayed and they helped us by keeping our luggage so we didn't have to cart it about. The staff were very friendly.
The room was spacious and clean. It was ideally located with the bus stop to the city centre just outside and in the area itself were some lovely walks and restaurants and local shops. The breakfast was very good, a great selection of continental breakfasts as well as a cooked breakfast.
Cannot recommend the Dial house highly enough, also very reasonably priced.

Good location. Lovely biscuits are in the welcome pack. There is a bit space for improvment, rusty bits in the bathroom. We had no toilet brush in the bathroom. The shower head was mouldy, and limescaled. Some cobwebs were arould a ceiling. We got comfy pillows and thick duvet

For what it is, i want to give 5 stars. For overnight/weekend stay in Oxford it is ideal. Really quiet but a short bus ride to city centre - bus stop is literally right outside! We didn't have breakfast so can't comment, but the room was light and bright it looked delightful. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would certainly use again for a weekend break
