However, the above attributes do not equate to a 5* experience. For that you need other facilities like a bar, restaurant, and comfortable reception area. Furthermore, the service at reception was chaotic
Putting the rating to one side however and considering the price in central Oxford I would recommend this hotel however. Price and experience are conducive to a 4 star hotel
There is no breakfast area in the hotel, and they try to direct you to a partnered restaurant. The bed wasn’t even a double. To make matters worse, we found bugs in the room. We are extremely disappointed and feel utterly scammed. Everything was below standard. Avoid this place at all costs.
GSH is in an unbeatable location, in the heart of Oxford. It is close to lots of great pubs, restaurants, and shopping. It’s walkable to every tourist site and university location. I would give it more stars if I could.
