Staff was exceptionally nice and helpful.
Room was clean and reasonably spaced (this is in a city center, so don't expect huge rooms). We had a king-size bed, a small desk, and a little seat. Our room looked onto the center patio, with two large windows. Bathroom was spacious, with a separate bath tub and shower. The shower had both a ceiling rain shower, and a handheld shower-head which was mounted awkwardly, pointing sideways at belly height. So if you wanted to take a shower but did not want to wash your hair, you had to either hold the showerhead in your hand or work with the side-stream. Luckily the shower enclosure did not leak. Showergel, shampoo, and conditioner were provided, as were plenty of towels and bathrobes.
Plenty of storage space - hurray! Wifi was excellent.
Small elevator for 2 - a bit slow, but my arthritis knees were thankful.
Restaurant Quod was very good - breakfast was a la carte and a bit slow, but we loved the vegetarian breakfast and toast.
From the moment we walked in, the staff were nothing but amazing, could not do enough to help us. We also were greeted with some champagne and cakes in our rooom plus a little Teddy for our daughter. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and the bed was super comfortable. The complimentary toiletries were also great quality. We also had great views of the University from our bedroom.
The hotel is ideally located for sightseeing and shopping.
We had both dinner and breakfast in the Quod restaurant within the hotel. The food and service was impeccable, we were looked after by Manuela at dinner and again she could not do enough for us.
All in all, we will definitely return, hopefully for longer next time.
Highly recommend.
Again, above & beyond service. I stay at either the Parsonnage or OB bank but I think OB may be a new favorite.
