We stayed at The Store over the Easter weekend as a family of four (with two children aged 4 and 8), and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.

We had interconnecting rooms, which were incredible – beautifully designed and ideal for a family stay. Our little ones especially loved the thoughtful touches like the mini gowns, slippers, and chocolates, which made them feel extra special.

The location is perfect for exploring Oxford – we enjoyed wandering around the nearby shops and spent a lovely afternoon at the Natural History Museum, which is just a short walk away.

We had dinner booked at Treadwell, and the experience was outstanding. The staff could not have done more for us. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The children were happily entertained drawing pictures inspired by the beautiful artwork on the walls, giving us a chance to relax and enjoy our meal. I’m still dreaming of the crab tacos, and my husband declared it the best burger he’s ever had!

As frequent travellers who stay in a lot of city hotels, I can be quite particular about bed comfort – but The Store gets a solid 10/10. We all slept brilliantly. Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive, with both buffet and à la carte options. The kids loved being able to choose their favourites, and once again, the staff were wonderfully attentive and kind.

Thank you so much for such a memorable stay. We’ll definitely be back – and we’re already recommending The Store to all our friends and family.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel in Oxford. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. I spent some time in the spa, which was beautifully decorated and offered a real sense of calm. I treated myself to a facial, and it was one of the best I’ve had—so soothing and expertly done. Afterwards, I enjoyed a delicious lunch in the restaurant; the food was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The service throughout was attentive and friendly. A truly lovely visit—I left feeling refreshed and well looked after.

The service at the rooftop bar was seriously slow. It took over 25 minutes from order to serving two glasses of champagne. No mixing required, just pouring and delivering 15 paces. The waitress who took my order asked "Just two ordinary glasses of champagne, then?" at £16/glass. And bar menu prices are exclusive of 12.5% "service" charge. When it came to paying, the bar staff was very slow to respond. The venue has excellent views, but feels cramped and noisy. The service needs to be improved significantly. There are better establishments in Oxford to spend £36 on two non-cocktail drinks.

Great hotel. Lovely spaces and rooms with fantastic facilities. Breakfast was decent too, but gets a bit busy at times and the buffet continental option could be a little better. Rooftop bar is lovely, with some great views. Staff are really friendly and helpful too.
Wife also used the spa facilities, and was also excellent

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Store recently and genuinely didn’t want to leave. From the moment we arrived, the team were warm, friendly, and nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel is beautifully styled with so much character and attention to detail. The room was immaculate, and the personalised touches and little comments from the team made us feel truly special.

Every meal was delicious, and the service throughout was faultless.

The rooftop bar is a fantastic space, whether you want to relax inside or enjoy the view outside.

An exceptional stay, I can’t wait to return
