The mattress is very soft. Some might prefer this but if you like even slight lumbar support in a mattress, you won't like this. The pillows are simalarly thin and soft, again perhaps a prefence for some but if you'd like any neck support, please bring your own pillows.
Besides a dried lens stuck to the floor the room seems clean upon arrival. Room is reasonably sized and, having a garden room meant we saw a fox which was a nice touch.
Everything was very clean. Excellent location--near enough to city center to walk but not be bothered by all the noise and traffic. Highly recommend!
The room was immaculately clean, thoughtfully furnished, and super comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a day exploring. The cozy bed, excellent shower, and smart design added to the overall experience.
But it was very shocking to come across a house, thinking it was a hotel. The pictures do not show the outside. It’s self check in, and so you can’t just pop down to reception or concierge and report an issue.
Whilst I prefer to stay at independent or family run hotels, this is a family home that’s been converted and does not account for noise cancellation.
Would definitely visit again!
Throughout my stay, I found the accommodation comfortable, well managed, and conveniently located. The team was consistently responsive and helpful, housekeeping was reliable, and any queries were dealt with promptly.
The location worked particularly well for me. Cowley Road, with its many cafés and restaurants, is nearby, and much of the University of Oxford and its sports facilities can be reached on foot.
What I appreciated most was the professionalism and consideration shown by the staff over an extended stay. They helped make Oxford feel easy to navigate and settle into.
I would be happy to recommend No. 192 to others visiting Oxford, whether for a short visit or a longer academic or professional stay. My experience was a positive one throughout.
