Seven people for high tea. We sat 20 minutes before taking our order. Another 25 until they brought cold tea in filthy pots, forgetting to bring all 7 filters for the tea and filter holders. After asking the waitress, she brought them all to me and told me to hand them out. I guess high tea here means you are your own waitress. We waited 1 hour for water. They never asked us if we wanted cocktails (we did, but had to get them from the bar ourselves). The waitress never cleared any dirty dishes. They never once asked if we needed more tea, or anything else. After two hours and ten minutes, we had to flag down a different server to ask for our check. The waitress was an embarrassment to the hotel's name and reputation. Every single other area of the hotel offers excellent, friendly service with top quality rooms, services, and dining. The Alice restaurant should close until it can train staff to be on parr with the rest of the hotel. The service is so inexcusable that it brings down the overall hotel experience. The photos I have provided show the dirty tea pots BEFORE we poured the tea from them. As if none of them were washed properly from previous use. I think the health inspector should make a spot check in this kitchen. Shame on the waitress for believing that poor quality was acceptable since she gets 20% anyway.

I am Diamond guest celebrate our 21 Anniversary checked in upgrade to Oxford suite. Hotel right in city centre. Room was excellent traditional English style. We had excellent food and service in restaurant. We also had drinks in Bar. We will definitely back again.

Charming, very friendly, great service and the food is fantastic. What a lovely place. I am from the USA, I was very impressed by the service and this was one of the best meals I have ever had.

We were celebrating Christmas and bidding a farewell to our neighbor who will relocate back to South Korea after Christmas.
The food was amazingly delicious especially the slow cook pork chop, duck breast was absolutely tender, juicy and tasteful. Won't regret if you choose either.
Wine recommendation was a wonderful pairing choice to all our selected dishes.

Alpha is the best! Great service from him and the rest of the team.

Food overall was really good, considering the price / venue I’d say it’s a touch below perfect but the chips are absolutely amazing!
