Salam Brothers and Sisters, Please be aware of this takeaway “Chicken Hut” in Cowley Centre Oxford. The owner and workers are Hindu. Because the shop windows at the top right hand corner says “Halal” so we went in asking for donations for Abingdon Masjid Project. The worker said he is Hindu, we asked him if he could pass on the leaflet for his owner. He said the owner is also a Hindu. We explained that we came in because the windows said Halal; the worker said that is just a sign that has been there. The worker was not welcoming and wanted us out. I took the picture and next to this shop there is a Turkish Takeaway; the owner of the Turkish takeaway saw me taking picture and asked to come in for private chat. He explained that a lot Muslims eating there are deceived by the sign.
I think it is better to avoid such shop, Hindu will not have understanding of “Halal”
