Details

Nestled at 12 Cherwell Drive in Marston, Oxford Kashmir Grill, also known as Oxford Café Grill, offers a diverse menu that extends beyond solely Kashmiri cuisine to include authentic English and Afghan food. They pride themselves on being a community-focused café, welcoming all ages to eat, drink, and meet. Visitors can start their day with a full English or vegetarian breakfast, or opt for breakfast baguettes, with a happy hour for specialty drinks running from 9am to 11am. The lunch menu features fresh baguettes with various fillings like Mexican chicken and tuna, alongside toasted paninis. They are committed to sustainability with a zero-waste policy and discounts for those bringing reusable cups.

Beyond the café offerings, the "Grill" aspect hints at heartier dishes, and while the Oxford-specific Kashmiri menu isn't detailed, traditional Kashmiri cuisine is known for its aromatic and rich flavours, often featuring lamb, chicken, and fragrant rice. Signature Kashmiri dishes often include Rogan Josh (an aromatic lamb dish), Yakhni (a yoghurt-based curry), and Dum Aloo (potatoes cooked in a flavourful gravy). Kashmiri cuisine also boasts a variety of breads and unique beverages like Kahwa, a traditional green tea. While the Cherwell Drive location emphasizes its café and community aspects, the name "Kashmir Grill" suggests an invitation to explore these spicier, more substantial dishes that are a hallmark of the region.

Found restaurant on Google, advertising a Full English Breakfast unfortunately it doesn’t say it will be served with Turkey Bacon and Turkey Sausage which is not the same as a proper sausage and bacon. Staff not overly polite, didn’t get a thank you when leaving . Coffee good. Would suggest to owner to make the Halal only menu more obvious and advertise the breakfast as Full Breakfast.

Ordered 2 full (English) breakfasts £28 with 2 cans of pop. If you are going to serve wafer thin slices of halal turkey bacon and equally as poor halal sausages you should make that clear as it is deceiving for an English person seeking traditional ingredients.
Beans cold, mushrooms dry, 3 grilled cherry tomatoes is frankly odd.
Fried eggs and toast were good.
I am not one to leave reviews but in this case felt it necessary. You should highlight that this is a halal full English breakfast..as it is deceiving.
All the best

Amazing food and service.
Hands down the best panini I've had, and I've tired many from all over!!
Also, their latte and salted carmel shake is divine!

It’s located opposite Marston petrol pump. Cafeteria and Afghani dining options. Has out and inside seating options. Chef is Afghani. Genuineness in taste and flavor shows in the dishes. Over oiliness is not there. Worth visiting for somebody interested for good Afghani food. Toasted Paninis are go to option. It seems to be occupying majority of tables all the time. Need to try it next time.
