Ate at Napiers while staying at the beautiful Oxford Thames Hotel and I just had to write separate review for the newly opened Napiers. All the staff were lovely and helpful especially Mihai the restaurant manager who was extremely knowledgeable with his wine parings. The food was the single best hotel food I have ever had. Michelin Star worthy food for a fraction of the price. The presentation, flavour profiles and execution was all flawless. Cannot wait to go back and will probably be making it a common occurrence!

Generally good but our experience was mixed: the wild mushroom pie, pan-fried bream and haddock & chips were very good, however the "tomato linguini" was not - there were so many black olives it should have been called "black olive linguini" - and didn't get eaten. Service is excellent, even when busy with a wedding reception and the atmosphere was good with the tables being reasonably spread out. Average spend for two courses + wine was £50 per head. BTW, escargot and duck breast were not on the menu.

England dish, Italian portion, Michelin quality, Bargaining price! The Fish-n-chips is a must try, easily be one of the best in the South (can’t finished it at once and take it back to my room)

We were recommended newly launched Napiers by friends who’d raved about the chef and his menu. The food was fascinating and absolutely delicious: creative, beautifully balanced flavours, and some of the best presentation I have seen. The service was absolutely on point, and the restaurant manager Mihai was very knowledgable about wine pairings for the dishes we’d chosen. Scallop starter and duck main were our two stand out dishes of the night. There is some real culinary talent on display at Napiers and we were lucky enough to hear about some of the dish ideas in development by the Head Chef. Michelin star quality food and service without the crazy price tag. We look forward to returning to try the evolving menu.

Had dinner here and the food was absolutely outstanding! Was very impressed with the executive chef, Ciprian! The service was also lovely which we were taken care of very well by Mihai. Will definetly be looking forward to coming back again soon!
