To say I'm mortified is an understatement , I have given a 1 star BECAUSE 0 STARS ISNT AN OPTION. 3 members of staff they couldn't even crack a smile between them . I asked for 2 hot chocolates( if you could even call it that )to go with my 2xcream teas. Our luxury hot chocolates ended up being the contents of the kitchen sink. It was literal dish water almost transparent . As I was paying I asked where I could find a knife for my cream and jam and was met with a morbid point towards a section of the cafe.. staff member mute, unknown to my knowledge i must have interrupted a game of which if a staff member talks first they must actually clean the cafe, the sticky unknown residue left on my table suggests this game has been going for a few days! I FEAR IT WILL NEVER END . I observed the food and I was met with open baguettes what should have been a juicy bit of cucumber ended up looking like my leather shoe . The egg mayo sealed in a dry crust from the open air and a wrap that looked like it had been there begging to put in the bin for 3 days, the lettuce consumed by depression . My scones crumbled in despare as I tried to saw my way through . I do have one highlight the pre packaged jam was lovely . But please learn how to make a hot chocolate with more then 1/4 of a teaspoon of powder. So all in all I paid £10 for two pots of jam . True john lewis style .
Definitely avoid.
Food is good. I particularly loved their cheesecake. That was delicious. I also tried their hot chocolate and bagel. They were also good.
But the prices are a little high. The hot food options in particular are quite expensive.
