This bakery, with a trading history stretching back to 1986, is the sister company to the popular Heritage Bakery in Wantage and has recently relocated from Oxford's Covered Market. Here, brilliant cake designers can recreate almost anything you can imagine in cake form, meticulously decorated with stunning detail – from cats to cricket bats, unicorns to universities. They are praised for their delicious and personalised cakes, perfect for special occasions like weddings and birthdays, with customers appreciating the friendly service and ability to bring detailed, customised designs to life. You can choose from an array of options or consult with their designers for a unique creation.

Beyond the showstopping custom cakes, The Cake Shop in Witney has expanded its offerings to be a full one-stop bakery for all your cake, pastry, and bread needs, continuing the artisan traditions of its sister bakery. If you're a keen baker yourself, you'll also discover a wide range of cake decorating accessories, including edible goods, sugarcraft materials, tools, and equipment sourced from leading UK suppliers. Many items are available off-the-shelf, or can be ordered. The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and also offers a selection of cost-effective "quick cakes" available at short notice. They can even deliver within a 50-mile radius.

The Cake Shop Oxford made the cake for our wedding back in June 2022 and it was absolutely perfect! We knew the taste would be incredible as we've been eating their products for years (mostly the bags of cake off-cuts they do from when we were poor students!), and we were not disappointed - we had four tiers with different flavours for each! They worked with us to create an incredibly personalised and extremely detailed design, right down to the bride and groom figures on top (they got us to send through pictures of our actual outfits for the wedding so that they could replicate these and so many of our guests commented on how special this was!). After the wedding I was able to preserve a few of the sugar paste decorations from the cake (see picture below) as they were too beautiful to not keep, and we now have them as a very special memory. Price-wise, I also found them to be very good value compared to other quotes I received.

Thank you so much again - we still have two slices in our freezer that we're saving for a special occasion!
