Details

Homemade pizzas with tempting toppings like the 'Bee Sting' (tomato, mozzarella, pepperoni, and hot honey) or the 'Truffle Funghi' share the menu with satisfying Dodo burgers, including dry-aged beef patties and creative vegan options such as the 'Vegan Seoul'. This easygoing Marston Road establishment, part of the Dodo Pub Co. family, is praised for its quality, mirroring the standards of its sibling pubs. Alongside a vibrant craft beer selection, featuring their own Dodo lager and guest breweries, you can relax in the spacious beer garden, which sometimes hosts events. The interior boasts a cool, colourful design with retro furnishings, and there's even a coffee hatch for daytime pick-me-ups.

More than just a spot for a casual bite and pint, The Up In Arms has established itself as a community hub, its very name a nod to the local campaign to save it. It’s a welcoming space for couples, families, and groups, offering events like pub quizzes, open mic nights, and even board game evenings. With ample indoor and outdoor seating, including a terrace and sometimes a shipping container venue for special events like film screenings or live music, there's plenty of room to spread out. Conveniently located on Marston Road, it's accessible by bicycle and a relatively short taxi ride from Oxford train station, making it an excellent stop for visitors looking to experience a popular local favourite.

I recently visited this pub and had an amazing experience! The ambience was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely mouth-watering. A special shoutout to Head Chef Diogo and Sous Chef Nithik – their culinary talent, teamwork, and kind nature truly stood out. They made the entire dining experience unforgettable.

Hands down, the best pub I’ve been to! Highly recommended!

I think it'd deserve more attention, it was very quiet for lunch on a Sunday but it's a great place to eat, drink and spend time! Had the vegan seoul burger + fries, and buffalo wings, was exactly what we wanted after a walk around the University Parks. Very spacious and clean bathrooms, too. Keep it up!

Passing through on a road trip from Coventry and found this place. Glad I did as the food was incredible and so good I had to order more which I took for takeaway. Truffle fries are highly recommended and will be returning when we come by this way. Staff very friendly and quick to service so a 10/10 experience.

Excellent pub. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Decent food menu of starters and pies (rather than a full standard pub menu). Lots of excellent beer on tap. And an impressive whisky menu!
