What really sets Jules apart is her exceptional customer service. She’s always attentive, keeping an eye on everything that’s going on in the pub and making sure customers are looked after without ever being intrusive. Whether it’s remembering regulars, having a friendly chat, or ensuring drinks are topped up and everyone is happy, she seems to do it effortlessly.
The pub feels more vibrant, welcoming, and community-focused thanks to her presence. Jules has a genuine talent for bringing people together and creating the kind of atmosphere that keeps customers coming back time and time again. The Up in Arms is lucky to have her, and she is undoubtedly one of the main reasons the pub has such a great buzz these days! We hope she remains here for a very long time!

The food is consistently good. The pizzas are a real highlight – great value, especially the lunch deal, and cooked to perfection . The burgers and buffalo wings are also top-notch, and I've heard great things about the Dodo burger in particular . The house beers are tasty, and they have a decent range of craft options too .
The staff are always friendly and helpful, and it's a genuinely dog-friendly spot . It's a proper community pub that's been rescued and revived, and it's easy to see why it's so popular. Highly recommended.
Shame to see the burger deal price increase, but prices are up everywhere so it was bound to happen. It probably means i'll get a burger less often, but the pub has to do what it need to to stay afloat.
It's not my local Dodo, but i'd deffo make the diversion to go to the UIA again especially in the sun as the garden is great.

We also really enjoyed the variety of dishes on the table, especially the pizza with its perfectly charred crust. It is the perfect spot for a casual and tasty bite. We will definitely be back soon.
