We booked a private hire for 3 hours for our wedding day on 10/08/2026. We ordered food from the finger food menu and had Prosecco on arrival for 21 guests. The food exceeded our expectations and was utterly delicious. The service was also fantastic with a young lady who was incredibly attentive walking through taking orders rather than us having to go to the bar. Brilliant atmosphere and view (though LOTS of stairs). We will definitely be back, thank you!

A nice pub with a great rooftop with a beautiful view on Oxford's roofs, which is worth visiting. Very few courses to choose from, so not a great choice to have dinner but a nice place where to have a drink with friends or partner.

Found this place in Oxford above the old market in the town centre 😀
A gentle warning - there are lots of stairs to negotiate to the rooftop bar but it’s worth the effort on a beautiful sunny day like today 😀🌞☀️
Once on the roof the views are stunning 😀👏

Service a little slow and be careful ordering as some of the drinks are not included in the deal 🤣🤣
Drinks were very good and nice smiley waitresses 😀😀
Once your sat with your drink it was a great experience so definitely recommended 😀🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Hosted a group of about 30 people here two years in a row and both times it was amazing. We’ve gone in August both times which is an extremely busy time in Oxford. The Varsity Club group was absolutely exceptional with planning and service. All of the staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and overall just want you to have a great time.

Cocktails are amazing and food is delicious. If you plan on hosting a group or even visiting Oxford, Varsity Club is a must. They have a rooftop section with beautiful views of the city. Highly recommend!

Rooftop bar Great for a sunny or warm day. Cocktails pricey but you're in central Oxford & paying for the views. Always a nice atmosphere & good service. We always book ahead for a rooftop table. Haven't used the rest of the venue.

Booked and Sat on the rooftop, lovely views, Molly our waitress was lovely. Food was amazing. We booked downstairs in the bar area also so we could have a seated area - we asked for cocktails but they said no table service in this area, slightly disappointed as the bar was busy. It was quiet until the DJ came on, he was very good with great music and a good atmosphere.

I went with some friends and had such a lovely night!! I forgot our servers name, but she was ever so nice, and nothing seemed like too much (she even helped me charge my phone). The cocktails, atmophere, and facilities were all so nice and we will defo be back- thank you so much for making our night!!

Top spot for drinking in the city scape from the rooftop bar while sipping on a delicious cocktail.

Bartender was great- she knew what she was doing. Perfect spice level on the Picante! 💗
