Probably the worst takeaway I have ever had. After my partner had been eating hospital food for a few days we thought we would celebrate some good news with a takeaway. Having seen the reviews for this establishment, I was hopeful, but we were both left feeling extremely disappointed. Very rarely do I pay for food that gets thrown away, but that's what happened on this occasion. The service wasn't great with one guy asking for my order, and when asked what was in one of their self-named burgers, he had no idea. Eventually got the order placed, and both the burger and sausage had a horrible texture and absolutely no flavour. Chips were adequate, but nothing special. I have had better onion rings from Aldi! Total waste of my hard earned money!

The Full English breakfast at Mediterranean Fish Bar is amazing. It’s one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything is cooked perfectly, the sunny-side-up eggs are spot on, and the fried bread is absolutely gorgeous. The portions are generous, filling, and always leave you satisfied.

Sometimes they even throw in a few extra chips, which is a lovely bonus and always appreciated. The food is consistently delicious, the staff are friendly, and the quality is excellent every time.

If you’re looking for a proper Full English breakfast that’s cooked with care and packed with flavour, I can’t recommend Mediterranean Fish Bar enough!

I’ve been coming to Mediterranean Fish Bar in Oxford since 1994, and it’s still my absolute favourite. Over the years, the quality has stayed consistently excellent — the fish is always perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender inside.

But the real standout for me has always been the chips — they are on another level! Fresh, golden, perfectly seasoned, and never greasy. You can immediately taste the difference compared to anywhere else.

The team are always friendly and welcoming, and it’s clear they take real pride in what they do. Whether you’re a regular like me or visiting for the first time, you’re guaranteed a top-class meal.

Highly recommend Mediterranean Fish Bar to anyone looking for proper, traditional fish and chips done right.

Absolutely the best fish & chips ever! Cod is in a light crispy batter and tastes fresh. Chips are golden and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside - always with just the right amount of salt and vinegar.
Staff are lovely too!

The mixed kebab at Mediterranean Fish & Chips is fantastic! Generous portions of chicken kebab and lamb doner with mushrooms and onions, all perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Great value for money, and the friendly staff make it even better. Highly recommend!

This place is hands down the best fish and chips I've had in the UK. Staff, super friendly. Food, fresh and great as always, and service... the best! I love the food, but I recommend that you tell the guy behind the counter you want your fish and chips crispy (trust me😎).

LOVE IT..! My go-to for a good treat any day!
