Had a lovely time at Port Mahon, this pub has been about since I was a kid and it has really improved. Friendly staff, had a particularly lovely chat with Joseph who was really knowledgable and helpful. Will definitely visit again!

£6.50 budvar - cheapest pub in Oxford so far.
Loads of seats, front and back gardens.
Back garden comes with a free breeze and shade.

Went for Sunday lunch which was very expensive and not very good. At nearly £40 a head I would expect a greater level of quality and attention to detail than we received.

Better alternatives at a similar price exist in Oxford so try somewhere else. No wonder it was so quiet.

Port mahon was a lovely experience. I wanted somewhere that was good for elderly people and dog friendly. It was both. The food was very tasty and the service was so thoughtful and friendly. The staff went out of their way to help. Even providing a bowl of water for the dog. Five stars.

I stumbled across this pub as I have recently started working opposite. It is not an exaggeration to say that I was blown away by my experience here earlier today. The landlord, Jonathan, is super friendly without being over the top. The food and drinks are incredibly good value. I will definitely be going back. My new favourite pub in Oxford!

Great spot in Oxford. Port Mahon has really good drinks and surprisingly solid food too. The staff are always kind and easy to talk to, which makes the place feel genuinely welcoming. Definitely one of the nicer pubs to chill in.

Gorgeous pub with the nicest Sunday roast I’d ever had. Every part of it was delicious, especially the stuffing and the Yorkshire pudding. Fantastic drinks selection and tasty desserts as well.
Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff too.

Second Sunday Lunch at this recently refurbished pub. Had Beef and bone marrow pie and the wife had 28 day aged roast rump of beef, both so very tasty, the roasties nice and crisp and veg very well seasoned. Wine menu is small but different from the norm, had an orange wine last time, a primitivo this. Service was prompt and very friendly. Beef and bone marrow pie is available in the week apparently so may need to visit midweek soon. Long may it continue.

Had a delicious roast here last weekend, both the pork and vege options were fab, and the cauli cheese was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Service by Jonathan and the team was exceptional and is the real jewel in the crown of the Port Mahon. Can't wait to come and visit during the week and trying the a la carte menu (which also looked fab). Did I mention they do £5 negronis and drink the cask dry on Tuesdays? Get yourself down here, you won't be disappointed :)

Had a large booking here for Christmas meal with friends, food was amazing (I had the slow cooked beef and celeriac mash) hats off to the chef ! Staff were great! Fab atmosphere very hospitable all round food experience :)
