I’ve heard that there is a Michelin one-star restaurant in Oxford. Their signature dish is a large roast chicken, but it’s only available on weekends, not on weekdays. The restaurant has a beautiful environment, though the service and taste are just average. Overall, it’s a somewhat nice-looking British restaurant. The burgers are almost the same as those at other places. The sandwiches look good and are quite large. The only surprise is the chocolate brownie, with ice cream on top and a warm egg base underneath, creating a contrast of hot and cold, though it’s a bit too sweet overall. At average £25 per person, it’s a relatively cost-effective restaurant.

Always really good food. I love the pub’s layout, and there’s always a table in a nook or cranny - it’s cosy but not cramped! Lots of lovely lighting and not a harsh glaring big light which I really love, especially if you come in the evening. Creates a great ambiance.
There’s also QR codes you can use if you don’t want to go to the bar - I really appreciate this and find it valuable as it helps people with accessibility issues!
I recommend the fish and chips as the portions are very generous and it’s always lovely with crispy batter and tender fish. The waiting staff are also really friendly :)

We had a group buffet dinner for about 30 people. This is the second time we have done a dinner like this and I think the fact we have come back speaks for itself. We love the room where we were placed. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff all incredibly friendly and helpful. We love this pub.
