From the outside, it already looked promising, but inside it quickly became clear that this is a very popular spot. It was busy—really busy—and we did have to wait for a table. However, this is one of those places where the queue is actually a good sign. And in this case, absolutely worth it.
Once seated, the experience only got better. The food was genuinely excellent. The pizza tasted authentic, full of flavour, and clearly made with quality ingredients. It felt like a proper Italian food experience rather than just another restaurant serving pizza. The service matched the quality of the food—friendly, efficient, and welcoming despite how busy it was.
There is a certain charm to the place that makes it more than just a meal. It is the kind of spot where you feel like you have discovered something special. In fact, it reminded me of my trip to Italy back in the hot summer of 2016—specifically a small pizza place near the Pyramid in Rome and a late-night gelato stop that stayed open just when you needed it most.
Prices were fair, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. Overall, this is your place for a proper food journey.

i’m pretty sure this is my favourite restaurant in oxford, while the pizza is pretty good, for me it’s the pasta that shines. I get the baked cannelloni dish with ricotta every time, it’s cheesy with a perfect tomato sauce and balanced with tangy ricotta!! 10/10. its traditional and you get the sense it’s family run, perfect for families couples or friends.

Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. The cheesy, golden top on the dish in the oval serving bowl was absolutely delicious and just the right texture. It is rare to find such hearty comfort food that tastes this fresh. I will definitely be back soon.
