Love it here. Been coming for years and has never disappointed. They do now accept card which is great as well! Definitely recommend if you’re in Oxford

Honestly so tasty. Came here for my birthday dinner and we got the sharing platter of sushi. Fantastic variety and worth the money. The service was very good, our waitress was thoughtful; she put extra ice on the table for us and aimed fans and AC units at our table in this heatwave. Be mindful that it is cash only. Overall a very good experience. Will come here again!

We had such a fantastic meal here. Everything was presented beautifully, especially the salmon rolls topped with bright red tobiko.

The flavors were perfectly balanced across every dish we ordered. We particularly enjoyed the crispy fried chicken, which was served on a bed of fresh lettuce. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great bite in Oxford.

Food was excellent, served fairly fast, it felt very authentic, I had the tokatsu ramen which was delicious.
Not 5 because the atmosphere is quite dark and cheap, and more importantly they don't accept card payment... It's 2025 not 1995.

Tasty food with good portion sizes. Service was quick and prices reasonable.

We had the miso soup, crab salad and soft shells grab, as well as the aubergine with beef. And the the beef shin ramen.

Everything was delicious! It came out fast, good range of colours and textures.

The ramen came with a massive portion of meat. Way more than expected, it was succulent and juicy.
Definitely recommend!

Restaurant itself has a quirky decor without some nice privacy screens. Wasn't too busy when I was there but that was Sunday afternoon.

It was a lovely surprise to eat nice Japanese food near the coach station. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance is nice. The food came out fast with a perfect presentation. The lady that was serving us was very good, very polite, patient and approachable..

Given 3-star for the food as you don’t aspect it’s near to Japanese taste.
1. The karaage chicken has a mixture of breast and thigh parts, so the breast part is dry and hard. And is not served with Japanese mayo which is a standard dip for karaage.
2. The Shin special roll is nice with tasty fried prawn. Unfortunately the sushi rice taste below average.

Amazing food and great service from the staff. We had tonkotsu ramen with pulled beef and the short rib spicy ramen and both were amazing. The portions were massive and all components came together to create a lovely, balanced ramen. Sadly I'm not a local, otherwise I'd keep coming back for more. Great job!

OK Japanese restaurant, firstly it's cash only, not sure if it's always been like this or it's a temporary situation but it's weird they have this restriction. It's nicely decorated inside and they have some native Japanese staff working there. The menu is varied, they do ramen, bento boxes, bbq, etc.. Ramen is OK, it's not Japanese standard but no where is outside of Japan in my opinion. It's better than shoryu, I feels it's better then ramen culture. The Tonkotsu ramen was OK, the noodles were medium thickness, not hakata style thin noodles. They were firm and chewy, soup was creamy but lacked depth. Bamboo was OK, egg was Ok in texture, but the yolk wasn't slightly runny which is how I like it, and it lacked flavour. The chashu was OK, it was seared to make it crispy, at least it was thin cut unlike ramen culture where it was too thick. The spicy duck ramen was not as good as Tonkotsu ramen, the duck was roast duck but it was sliced like Cantonese roast duck but it lacked flavour, but was not dry or chewy. The spiciness comes from the chilli sauce condiment that you can find on the table, it's not too spicy but it's nothing special. The good thing is that the food is served quickly, not like shoyu where it feels like they're ubering the food from another restaurant.

We have visited the UK twice, and I must say that this restaurant has become our favorite spot for comforting Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere feels like home, thanks to the friendly staff and efficient chefs. The dishes are served promptly.

Even on tough days when our mood may be low, stepping into this restaurant makes us feel truly cared for. They go the extra mile to ensure your comfort and satisfaction with the food.
