The pub is lovely inside, and the garden area is really pretty, with plenty of seating for summer dining.
Nice menu, plus a special's board.
Starters were ordered from the main menu and all were absolutely delicious.
3 mains ordered from the main menu were also really good.
Unfortunately 3 guests ordered the special. Seafood in tempura batter. The chef forgot to add the prawns, we had to ask for them, they arrived near the end of the meal. The fish and batter were really bland! No taste at all. The dressed salad was ok, but the Alioi dipping pot was just a pot of plain tasteless mayonnaise. All 3 guests totally disappointed with the dish.
The deserts were nice, but again 1 guest had been forgotten about, we had to ask yet again for a missing dish.
Overall experience was ok.
I will give this restaurant another visit, but stick to the main menu in future.
