I booked a table for 6 people.
The pub is lovely inside, and the garden area is really pretty, with plenty of seating for summer dining.
Nice menu, plus a special's board.
Starters were ordered from the main menu and all were absolutely delicious.
3 mains ordered from the main menu were also really good.
Unfortunately 3 guests ordered the special. Seafood in tempura batter. The chef forgot to add the prawns, we had to ask for them, they arrived near the end of the meal. The fish and batter were really bland! No taste at all. The dressed salad was ok, but the Alioi dipping pot was just a pot of plain tasteless mayonnaise. All 3 guests totally disappointed with the dish.
The deserts were nice, but again 1 guest had been forgotten about, we had to ask yet again for a missing dish.
Overall experience was ok.
I will give this restaurant another visit, but stick to the main menu in future.

A perfect Sunday lunch on a beautiful day at a great place. Loved everything. The friendly staff, the atmosphere, the food and the lovely secluded outdoor secret garden with a cozy gazebo.
We enjoyed our beef & lamb roast meals and had our desserts in the secret garden. Idyllic setting. Absolutely must try if in the area.

Popped by on Friday the 2nd of May , it was a small group of us and honestly, superb experience.
It was a spontaneous meal/drinks out and the way the venue looked from the outside , was definitely what caught our attention at first.
Its so welcoming with all the little lanterns on the tables and we were pleasantly surprised with the 10/10 service experience on top of everything.
Service was amazing , drinks and food were great, what more could you ask for?!

Sunday lunch service for 14 adults
Good parking, spacious garden area with comfy seating.
a friendly welcome, speedy bar service on arrival clean neat and tidy presentation.
Good variety on menu of traditional English lunch foods I took:- A glass of Merlot, home prepared squid,, soup of the day (green pea and wild garlic), roast chicken with Yorkshire pudding roast potatoes, red cabbage, parsnip, carrot, cauliflower cheese, cauliflower mouse. Cheese board. Decent coffee.

Portions well balanced, presentation a delight, food arrived in a timely manner and the service was excellent for our party on a very busy Sunday.

The bar stocks a fine selection of local and international beers ciders lager and stout. Hendricks and fever tree tonic with fresh cut lemons limes cucumber. Iced bottles of Table water sparkling and still.

Recommend reserving table and come early to enjoy excellent food at this well managed country inn. Thanks to the whole team.
