The crispy duck is a must order!
Ho fun is so good. One of the best!
Overall we enjoyed the experience though the temperature inside the restaurant could be a little higher as I had to keep another layer on..
Sweet and sour pork the best I would say.
Others are still okay.
The portion sizes were generous, and the food came out quickly, so there was hardly any waiting time.
Parking seems to be available, but I’d recommend checking with the restaurant directly. We were able to park right next to the restaurant.
New Dancing Dragon in my opinion Is better known for its Malaysian, Hong Kong, and Chinese cuisine. If you’re visiting, there are two must tries:
🔹 Pork Fillet in Black Pepper and Honey Sauce – beautifully balanced, tender, and full of flavour
🔹 Cantonese Roast Duck (on the bone) – rich and authentic, but be aware that this must be ordered in advance as only limited quantities are available
The restaurant can get very busy on weekends, so be prepared for a lively and sometimes noisy atmosphere.
Based on many visits, I’d strongly recommend focusing on their more authentic Malaysian and Hong Kong dishes. These are consistently excellent and clearly where the kitchen’s strengths lie. In comparison, their more typical Asian Western base favourites they dont quite meet the same standards.
Even though the prices are on the higher side, the quality and authenticity of the food make it well worth coming back.
Overall, if you order wisely, New Dancing Dragon delivers delicious, authentic flavours that keep you coming back.
The service was lovely and the waitresses were doing their best and very friendly. It was nice to speak in canto and just feeling like home. The portion size was generous and felt very full afterwards!
My husband and I have been regular customers for years, and one thing that has always impressed us is the consistency of the food. Believe it or not, the taste of our favourite dishes hardly ever changes. That level of consistency shows just how high their standards are and how skilled the chefs are at delivering the same quality every single time.
The reason I'm writing this review is because I was genuinely disheartened to see some negative reviews about the restaurant. I know many of the staff, and I can honestly say they have never been anything but friendly, welcoming and attentive—not just to us, but to other customers as well. Some people might think they're only nice because we're regulars, but I work in a customer-facing profession myself, and I genuinely believe they always strive to provide excellent service.
One point that some people mention is the charge for a takeaway box if you can't finish your meal. We simply bring our own container, and it's never been an issue. In fact, the portions are so generous that we often have enough left for lunch the next day, which makes it even better value for money!
New Dancing Dragon has become one of our favourite places to eat, and we will continue to support them. Thank you to all the wonderful staff and talented chefs for your hard work, dedication and consistently delicious food. Keep doing what you're doing—you have two very happy and loyal customers!
