As previously mentioned, the quality of the food varies greatly. The steak frites were alright, nothing special; the “frites” were a little soggy as well. The salad was pretty good; I liked the addition of salty fat; it works very well with the rest of the salad. The soufflé was the best part about the experience by far; the crust was perfectly soft yet crunchy, and the inside was beautifully airy and filling. Delicious French dessert.
The waitress seemed colder than I would have expected given the price. The salad arrived less than 5 minutes before the main course, which in my opinion is far too late.
The ambiance seamlessly blends elements of a French brasserie and an English tea house. For that I give enormous props.
Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant for the price. If you do end up eating here, do not get the steak.
For my mains I had the Pan Fried Sea Bream. Crispy on the outside but juicy in the inside. The bouillabaisse sauce and sauteed squid complimented the fish really well.
Enjoyed this.
The menu is well thought, there were very good choices. We both had hake grenobloise which was very tasty.
Service was exceptional and we both enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
