And the best: fair price.
No salt on the salmon AT ALL. Skin was greasy nos crispy, sauce was greasy and bland. And £20.5 for this nonsense??? Anyone can get salmon in supermarket for £5 and cook it better.
Cheese soufflé had one slice of Camembert on top and the rest just tasted just like parsley. £10.5…
Dessert was not atrocious but the canelés were not crispy on the outside at all… Also the flavours tasted a bit artificial.
Tbh came here a couple of months ago and the food was fine, god knows what happened to this restaurant.
Very good British-French restaurant! The Sunday roast was excellent, and the onion soup was rich and full of flavor. We also had the 3-course menu, which was very good and great value for money. Although we waited about 50 minutes for our starter—understandable since it was Mother’s Day and a busy Sunday—the food was well worth the wait. Lovely atmosphere, good prices, and we’ll definitely be coming back!
I love the vibe in this place. Conversations are always in the background and never overwhelming, the crowd always diverse and interesting and service was spot-on as always.
All the ingredients were obviously fresh, presentation stunning and the combination of flavours were delicious.
I had a very warm and friendly welcome from Sam who was also absolutely proficient and an invaluable credit to the Team. Well done Sam, thanks for your recommendations, menu knowledge and overall service.

Came here and ordered a medium level doness steak. It came out raw still in the middle so I asked the waitress to take it back. She came back with a steak that was cooked to well-done so I asked the waitress once again to take it back. This time when the waitress had entered the kitchen and told the chef, he was screaming and shouting; the whole dining room is now aware of the baby tantrum that is of the chef’s screaming. The waitress returned to me, apologised for the previous two mistakes and presented me with a new steak. I cut it open, it was once again raw still in the middle (photos). I stopped eating at that point and asked for the bill and left.
I cannot for the life of me fathom how could somebody who only knows nothing about steak get paid to cook. It’s the first easiest dish one can learn to feed oneself once one has moved out of their parent’s home.
Zero out of one hundred. Never return.
(Edit) Côte reached out to me after this review. They very generously gave me a £60 credit voucher as it was my 60th birthday. Thank you for that.. it was unexpected. As previously stated.. the staff are really lovely. Thank you.
The staff were great, the atmosphere was lovely and the food was amazing.
I can't wait to go back and demolish the dishes again. French onion soup to die for, and the steak and frites were delicious, the frites are so good.
