This is a hidden gem amongst a sea of options in Cowley. The best part is that the food tastes great and you don't have to shell out too much. The staff are very polite and the choices on the menu cater to all needs - vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, meat lovers and all. Overall, a decent selection of dishes and fresh flavors.

Absolutely delicious food with lots of cool sushi that I've never seen before. The atmosphere was cozy with soft music, and the waitresses were attentive without being intrusive, and I struck up a wonderful conversation with one of them about the book I was reading.

I ordered the tamago, ikura, tobikko, spider roll, tako, apple gyoza, and some iced green tea. Everything came out incredibly fast, but I wasn't rushed to leave. One of my favorite places in Oxford, for sure. Highly recommended!

EDIT: I came a second time, and the waitress remembered me! We had a really nice conversation about the books I'm reading. I ordered a pumpkin koroke katsu and salmon avocado temaki this time, and they were just as lovely as the dishes I had the first time around. I also forgot to mention before that the menus have photos of all the foods, which is so incredibly useful and something I wish more restaurants did.

Sometimes it happens that even though I had a great experience the first time, I have a poor experience when coming back to a restaurant the next time, so I'm glad that wasn't the case here. I really recommend this restaurant!

We tried to tell the waitress that the salmon on the sushi was no longer okay, but she didn't understand. The rest of the food was okay but unfortunately we wouldn't recommend the restaurant. It was very cramped and uncomfortable.

We dined here last night (3/8/24) with our two children. We all absolutely loved it. Our waitress was amazingly friendly. Our food was tasty, quick to the table and when we ordered a few more things they were so helpful and quick with the service. We will come back next month!!! We can’t wait!!!

Authentic, tasty Japanese food - Particularly liked the ramen, spiced enough to feel it, and not too much so you can taste. Kind staff, overall relaxed ambience.
