The service was great. All of the staff were very professional and friendly and made the meal/experience feel very relaxed. They all took the time to wish me a happy birthday and made conversation when they brought the food/drinks over - which I really like and will will make me choose to go there again.
The food was amazing and great value. The Mac & cheese small plate/starter would have been fine as a main course! I was a bit worried that the mains didn't come with a side dish, you had to order that separately but we actually couldn't finish all of the food we ordered (2 starters. 2 mains and 2 sides in total).
I had booked to use the FWB member birthday reward but was surprised with a complimentary cocktail (alcohol free) and a free dessert with a candle that we hadn't ordered which was a really lovely touch (and the most amazing doughnut I've ever had - it was so light it was like eating air!!).
We'll definitely be heading there again, it is by far one the best meals I've had in Oxford for a while.
The atmosphere was lively and busy, creating a great vibe without feeling too overwhelming. The cocktails were really good and the prices felt reasonable for the quality and location.
I ordered the burger and it was delicious - juicy, flavourful, and cooked perfectly. The service was friendly throughout the evening, although it was a bit on the slower side at times, especially when waiting for the bill.
Overall, a great spot for burgers and cocktails in Oxford.

Our server was lovely – so friendly and welcoming, regularly checking in to make sure we were happy without ever rushing us. It made the experience feel really relaxed and enjoyable, which I really appreciate when dining out.
The only thing that let it down slightly was the price of drinks. £4.50 for a small Coke felt really off-putting, especially considering that’s only 50p cheaper than what you might pay in central London. For Oxford, I think that’s a little too much, and it did take away from an otherwise perfect visit. I wouldn’t choose to pay that again – I’d happily stick to tap water in the future.
That said, I genuinely love Dirty Bones and will definitely be back again. The atmosphere, service, and food are always on point – just wish the soft drink prices were a bit more reasonable!
