Recently had a pleasure of dining at Kibou to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it was truly a memorable experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect setting for a special occasion. The waitress was very knowledgeable about all types of dishes as well as cocktails menu.

Sushi was absolutely delicious, all fresh and high quality ingredients. Cocktails were equally impressive.

Overall experience in Kibou was a truly great one. Highly recommend and we will be back soon for more 🌟

We had dinner at KIBOU Oxford and chose to sit in their outdoor area which was nice for a warm summer evening. The experience was excellent from start to finish.

We ordered a variety of sushi and hot plates, including salmon and avocado rolls, tuna chutoro, scallop sushi, pickled daikon, and tofu with mushrooms. Every dish was beautifully presented and delivered on flavour.

It took about six plates to satisfy two people, and while the pricing is on the higher end, the quality more than justified it. This was easily the best Japanese food we’ve had in Oxford. The service was standout—friendly, attentive, and polished. A complimentary birthday treat at the end was a thoughtful and classy touch.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-tier Japanese fusion dining in Oxford.

Overall a very nice experience. I would like to think I’ve eaten at some amazing Japanese restaurants. Kibou can defo join the list. 4 stars based on my previous experiences around the world, but honestly the sushi was very good. We didnt get any big plates, but the teriyaki, ramen & katsu curry did look good. We went with sushi. The standout for me was the dynamite prawns, Wagyu Gunkan & Salmon Nigiri. The fish tasted fresh, the salmon was borderline melt in your mouth & I’m not really a salmon person, it was recommended by the waitress! The Dynamite prawns are HUGE & we got around 6 of them…amazing! Service was good, atmosphere was very very nice.

Absolutely tremendous Japanese food. Myself and my wife went for an anniversary lunch and ordered a selection of dishes, including the Seafood Ramen and Volcano Roll shown. All were immaculately prepared, incredibly flavoured and utterly delicious. Service was really friendly, to the extent that we were presented with a free dessert ;-). All told a tremendous meal, not too expensive (about £40 each) and a definite revisit. Don’t hesitate if you’re thinking about it, book a table, you won’t regret it.

Beautiful place and amazing food. What can I add ? The service was really thoughtful especially with my gluten intolerance, I felt really respected and helped to find the best dishes that I could eat. I really had a good experience in that place and would recommend it. I took chicken teryaki and was impressed by the quality of the chicken same for the dessert and the mochis. Thanks a lot 🙏
