During September 2025, our pilgrimage group from Colorado, USA, enjoyed several days in Oxford. We were fortunate to have Jonathan Self as our tour guide for a unique perspective on the friendship between JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis. Jonathan's wit, knowledge and passion brought welcomed color and detail to a story about which group members had varying depths of knowledge. He was patient with our many questions and, at least for one member of our group, led to him pursuing a deeper exploration of questions about faith and life. The tour was a highlight of our time in Oxford and something which I would happily do again.
