Some buses go directly to small airports, where with a train you need to change 2 to 3 times. A train changing is happening in London where you are expected to move between stations ...in time...
If you travel to an airport, you may have a luggage and it makes changing stations challenging. Also, train seems to be a double of the price...
Oxford to Luton costed 20.20 ponds, and in 2 hours you are there.
Lastly, stuff in the bus station were very helpful and polite.
Surprisingly, I experienced an arrogance and rudeness in Oxford train station when asking for help to buy a ticket.
I choose Bus ;)!
