A full-sized outdoor flying trapeze rig awaits thrill-seekers in Florence Park, offering an adrenaline-fuelled experience for anyone aged seven and up. For two hours, friendly and experienced instructors will guide you, whether you're a complete beginner or looking to build on existing aerial skills. All you need is the ability to support your own body weight for ten seconds and comfortable clothing that allows free movement, like leggings or jogging bottoms. The school, located on the park's former bowling green right next to the popular Flo's cafe, aims to make the exhilarating art of trapeze accessible to a wide audience. Sessions often culminate in the chance to be caught by an instructor on a separate swinging bar, a truly unforgettable moment.
You can book your two-hour class online in advance, with sessions typically costing around £35. It’s advisable to arrive about ten minutes before your class starts to complete waivers and settle in. Don't worry if you're new to this; the team is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive learning environment, talking you through every step. While it is a weather-dependent activity, the school operates from spring until September, providing a unique way to enjoy the summer months in Oxford. If you're not quite ready to take the leap yourself, you're welcome to watch friends and family soar through the air in this picturesque city park setting.
