A 25-metre, eight-lane swimming pool forms the aquatic heart of Leys Pools and Leisure Centre, complemented by a dedicated 8-metre learner pool perfect for new swimmers and family fun. Swimming lessons are available for both children and adults, catering to all abilities from beginners to those looking to refine their strokes. Beyond structured lessons, the centre offers various sessions including lane swimming for fitness enthusiasts and general family swims. Recent additions include an exciting Active Zone featuring a four-level soft play area with an Oxford theme, and a Tag X active gaming experience for older children. A hoist is available for wheelchair users to access the main pool, and accessible changing rooms are provided.

For those seeking a dry-land workout, the centre boasts a newly-renovated, air-conditioned gym equipped with state-of-the-art fitness machines, including cardio equipment like treadmills and cross trainers, as well as a comprehensive range of resistance machines and free weights. Two multi-purpose studios host a variety of fitness classes, from Body Pump to HIIT sessions and aqua aerobics. Additionally, a four-court sports hall caters to activities like badminton and basketball, and there's an outstanding 3G floodlit sports pitch ideal for seven-a-side football. Went to play badminton after almost 10 years of no play. My youngest brother in law kindly booked a court, and me and my 2 sons were invited. I used to coach badminton to primary school kids back in the days - like almost 20 years ago and played socially. Seems like still had the touch - had a good run around and got few good backhands in there (and won all my matches 😊). Sons 10 and 7 seemed eager and quick to catch so will most likely try to book a court in Birmingham and train them up.

The hall it self was ok - but a bit out dated it seemed, and you have to go through the whole swimming pool , changing room etc to get to the courts.

Excellent swimming facilities here for all ages. Swimming pools, all 3 of them are great. It’s a shame there aren’t any private showers but I suppose this is a compromise for other facilities. I can’t comment on the rest of the place as I only went for the swimming.

Is good place but now a days can't get in to booking as most of time it's booked due to reduced courts available. Lot new upgrade work is going on since 9 month. Swim prime time sessions are also cancelled and give to paid sessions. So basically having members ship is useless as u can't get any of slots even if you have membership.

We love our local pool and leisure centre — it’s a fantastic place for families. Our daughter, who’s nearly 3, absolutely adores it. The swimming facilities are excellent, with a warm main pool and a brilliant splash pool that’s perfect for little ones. The changing rooms are clean and well laid out, and the swimming lessons are superb — really well structured and engaging for young children.

The soft play area is also a huge hit. It’s spacious and well-designed, with plenty to keep toddlers entertained, as well as a dedicated section for older children. All in all, a brilliant local facility that we feel lucky to have nearby.
