I purchased a Sony A95L TV from John Lewis in August 2024, and when it developed smear marks in December, I logged a complaint with photo evidence. After weeks of delays, ICTV (their initial service provider) went out of business, and John Lewis reassigned JF Associates, who confirmed the TV was unrepairable and needed replacing. However, they later reversed this decision, and JF Associates performed a procedure on Sony’s instructions that failed and scratched my screen. Despite reporting this with evidence, John Lewis and JF Associates ignored the damage, closed my case, and refused responsibility. On 13th February, John Lewis promised to send an email for me to submit proof but never followed up. This experience has been a nightmare—full of delays, broken promises, and complete lack of accountability. Avoid John Lewis if you expect them to honour warranties or handle complaints fairly!

Never felt humiliated in my life like I did in this store. Purchased an item, had the receipt, upon leaving the store alarm went off, I walked back in as I knew I stole nothing however THREE men ran, yes ran! towards me. Only for one to apologize when they realized that the cashier did not do their job to remove the sensor on item.

I’m not one to feel profiled, but Why these three men did not run towards other ethnicity when the store alarm went off. Three men!!!. All I purchased was cream worth £40. Truly appalled.

Be so aware of sensors on products, and ensure cashier remove them before leaving stores.

We drove down to Oxford on Sunday 25th May. We visited The Place To Eat we managed to find a table which was difficult as The Rock Choir were in store and also in the Restaurant we found some members very rude and ill mannered shoving and pushing making lots of noise etc! With all of that we managed a nice meal. However, on leaving we needed to visit the Ladies Toilet which were in a DISGUSTING state several cubicles without their seat in fact the seat was in the floor and most cubicles had broken toilet roll dispensers leaving rolls strewn on the mucky floor! I and lots of other ladies using the toilets dreadful in a store such as John Lewis in fact I have never seen a public toilet in such a vile state. Please get your priorities right and get your toilets in a better condition for your Customers to use. You should be totally ashamed of yourselves for expecting people to use them in such disrepair ! I wonder what environmental health would make of them?

Had two lovely ladies from the baby section on top floor (didn't catch their names but both in their 40s I would say) help me pick a car seat for my daughter! Even though I didn't have an appointment they took lots of time to show me what options i had and showed me how to safely strap in my little girl. They were both very knowledgeable even though one of them was still going through training she was excellent as well! Super helpful and would definitely recommend if anyone needed guidance on what car seat! (They also didn't put any pressure on me to buy a car seat then and there) Coming from the lady with the baby who had the iggle piggle toy 😊

If High Street retail is to survive, it needs to do a better job than this branch of JL. Many items e.g. (presumably) expensive Lego sets and other items without a displayed price. Generally untidy. One till on each floor open. Waited 20 minutes while one customer was served. Gave up. Changed floors. 2 tills open. I was next! But a problem meant both members of staff spent 10 minutes fiddling with that till. Just before I dumped my purchases, I was served. Poor.
