Perfect evening in every way. The food was excellent, nice and hot cooked fresh. and was lovely to have a pod looking into the garden. Lovely friendly pub with a good service.

Thank you for helping me to host a lunch for special visitors (and their dog) yesterday. We were all very impressed. It wasn't my first visit to you and it certainly won't be the last.

Gah! I don't want to write this but it's important I share my experience. Lovely pub. I imagine it can be quite the venue later in the evening when there is more going on. The service was excellent and we really enjoyed the food. It tasted great, portions were generous and it was well presented. BUT I've never been so ill as I was the following night. Either a dodgy lasagne or a dodgy beer on tap. Honestly it was six hours of agony and I can tell I won't feel well for some time yet to come. So yeah. Something went wrong yesterday. This is less a word of caution for potential guests and more message for the staff: please investigate to see if you have any issues in the food/drink chain around 14th/15th May 2025.

My mum loves this spot as it's cosy and dog friendly. Lovely warm friendly staff and I like the little covered tables out the back, but honestly I didn't rate the food... vegetarian roast option was a Mediterranean tart (which was a bit bland and odd to eat with roast veg and gravy) and there weren't very good options across the board for veggies in my opinion. Vegetables felt a bit boil in the bag - roast potatoes however were great. This is all speaking only as a vegetarian - meat eaters may love it and again, can't fault the service and general atmosphere! Worth a try if you're local.

Perfect meal for 12!
Every single element of our meal was lovely. We all had 3 courses. Very tasty, large portions, Great service, clean.
