Daisy, whose talents were showcased on the BBC series 'Saved and Remade', brings a passion for hands-on creativity, transforming treasured but unused objects into new pieces. Lula James offers a variety of woodworking courses, from single-day experiences where you can make items like a doorstop, keyring, and plant stand, to more intensive multi-day workshops focusing on specific skills such as mortise and tenon joints or dovetail box making. These courses are designed for all abilities, providing quality tools, timber, and expert tuition in a welcoming environment.
Located just a 15-minute walk from Carfax, the Edith Road Workshops provide a vibrant setting for creative exploration. Lula James emphasises learning traditional woodworking principles, from timber selection and marking up, through to sawing, planing, sanding, joinery, and finishing. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to build on existing skills, the patient and informative teaching approach ensures a rewarding experience.
