Nestled at 71 High Street, Hoyle's of Oxford has been a cherished family-run haven for game enthusiasts since 1997. This delightful independent shop, now helmed by the passionate father-and-daughter team Phillip and Emily Scaysbrook, offers an extensive collection that caters to every taste. You'll discover everything from timeless classics like chess, backgammon, and mahjong to the latest award-winning board games and hard-to-find niche titles. Their shelves are also brimming with a wide array of puzzles, jigsaws, playing cards, and even juggling and magic supplies. The shop itself has a rich history, with the building at 71 High Street having served various purposes over the centuries, including a greengrocer's and an undergraduate club, and the site was once part of Oxford's fortified east gate.
