Designed by Simon Gidman in 1995, the 18 holes thoughtfully meander through undulating parkland, with 44 acres of ancient woodland at its heart and navigating 14 lakes. The course is laid out in two distinct nine-hole loops that play in opposite directions around the central woodland, ensuring each fairway and green possesses its own unique character and presents a distinct challenge. This mature-feeling course promises a rewarding round of golf in a magnificent setting.

Visitors always receive a professional and warm welcome at Studley Wood, where the relaxed clubhouse atmosphere complements a serious approach to golf. Beyond the highly-rated greens and fairways, facilities include a 15-bay all-weather driving range, a short game area, and a practice bunker. I’m a bit confused by the previous glowing reviews about the service at Studley Wood. The service at this club was one of the worst of any club I’ve played at. It really isn’t that hard to smile, give a greeting or even explain you need to go and change the barrel for the drinks we’d asked for. Ended up walking out as the service was so poor. The course itself is a nice layout, and I’m sure with the greens in top condition ( had just been spiked and sanded) it would be a course people would be happy to play often. Just a shame on the service which is why I’ve only scored it 2/5.

What a great club and course. Thoroughly enjoyed the golf and food and the beer after. The course was in great condition and set a challenge .

First time at the course and was very impressed, tees, fairways in good condition and greens excellent, pro shop staff friendly and female bar staff helpful and polite, Shame about the male member of bar staff, but would not let that put me off going back and would highly recommend the course to anyone

I'm not a golfer but we regularly use Studley Wood's clubhouse facilities. Staff are terrific and can never do enough for you. Would recommend this place for your next function.
