Award-winning craft beers and a powerful social mission combine at The Tap Social Movement's original brewery and taproom in the Curtis Industrial Estate. This vibrant community hub not only serves up a fantastic range of its own "criminally good" beers, from accessible craft styles to small-batch experimental brews, but also champions a cause by providing training and employment for people from prison. Open every weekend, the West Oxford taproom has become a popular destination, frequently hosting live music, charity fundraisers, comedy nights, and other community events, all within a lively warehouse-style space. You can even grab a hand-stretched sourdough pizza from their on-site bakery, Proof Pizza, to accompany your pint.
Beyond the excellent beer and food, a visit to The Tap Social Movement is an opportunity to support a significant social enterprise dedicated to reducing reoffending and promoting inclusivity. Since its founding in 2016, the organisation has created tens of thousands of hours of paid employment for ex-offenders, helping them build self-confidence and new skills. The Tap Social Movement also runs a bakehouse and other venues across Oxfordshire, including The Market Tap in Oxford's Covered Market. Their commitment to social change is evident in everything they do, from the artwork on their cans, designed by prisoners, to their advocacy for inclusive employment practices.

Just please be aware that it is a 2 hour parking limit on the estate. We got fined (and appeal rejected) despite number plate being entered into the brewery parking system. Not a fault of the brewery and doesn’t take away from this great place, just wanting to make people aware.
