Details

The vast 18,500 square foot Oxfam Superstore on Alec Issigonis Way, located in the Oxford Business Park, offers a unique retail experience far beyond that of an average charity shop. As the first of its kind for the charity, this expansive warehouse is a treasure trove of pre-loved items, ranging from fashion and homewares to books and handcrafted gifts, including pieces from the 'Sourced by Oxfam' range. Visitors can browse extensive, colour-coded sections of clothing, accessories, and bric-a-brac, making it a key destination for those seeking sustainable style and one-of-a-kind finds. A distinctive feature is the in-store café, ingeniously housed within an Oxfam water tank, providing a quirky spot to relax and refuel after a session of bargain hunting.

More than just a place to shop, the Oxfam Superstore aims to be a community hub, offering dedicated meeting spaces for local groups and hosting regular workshops, activities, and talks. This initiative reflects Oxfam's long history in Oxford, where the first shop opened in 1948. The superstore also features a convenient drive-through drop-off point for donations, making it easy for people to contribute to Oxfam's mission of fighting poverty. By shopping, donating, or volunteering here, visitors not only discover unique items but also contribute to a global cause, supporting Oxfam's life-saving work and Future Skills project, which aids women in the UK facing employment barriers.

Ridiculously overpriced, especially considering that the majority of vinyl records my partner and I have bought from here in the past few years have been scratched/damaged (despite being labelled as being in "very good" condition.) Cafe has a couple of friendly faces but coffee and cake etc. not the best. Would recommend elsewhere

Went to look for a sofa and we got one!! A lovely big store with a lot of good variety of charity goods :)! We do not have a car so it took us coupled of buses to get to but the delivery service for the couch was good. Great book selections as well! Expanding the cafe to canteen or pop-ups could be lovely so that we can have lunch there as well.

Used to be nice to come in here and get reasonable prices for things, however coming in recently and seeing a used jumper for £9, when it has the Asda George £10 tag on it, feels like a slap in the face. What happened to Charity shops being good prices for Preloved items?

This is one my favorite little stores that I just found. I am from the USA and came here to the UK to asylum seek. The atmosphere is really welcoming and the staff is friendly. Also the customers are really nice as well. They have some cool and fun stuff there for a great price.
