Details

Forty-five acres of vibrant Oxfordshire countryside await you at Rectory Farm, a place where you can pick your own fruit, vegetables, and flowers directly from the field. The picking season kicks off in April with asparagus and rhubarb, followed by a summer bounty of strawberries, raspberries, broad beans, and courgettes. As autumn arrives, look forward to sweetcorn and pumpkins. Beyond the extensive pick-your-own fields, the farm boasts a well-stocked shop featuring their own produce, including potatoes available year-round, alongside locally sourced bread, honey from the farm's own bees, and artisan treats. Remember to bring your own punnets and bags to help reduce plastic use; you might even get a discount for doing so.

After a morning spent filling your baskets, the on-site café provides a welcoming spot to relax and enjoy seasonal food, from freshly baked pastries and Dark Horse Roastery coffee to homemade cakes and light lunches. Families will appreciate the woodland play area, complete with a wooden climbing frame, scramble nets, a slide, and a sandpit, ensuring a delightful day out for all ages. Some fruit is grown under polytunnels, and there are covered picnic tables, making it a viable option even on rainy days. The farm is committed to quality, with much of the produce picked and on the shelves or in the café within hours, offering an authentic farm-to-fork experience.

We picked some huge juicy strawberries that my friend who doesn’t like strawberries really enjoyed. Bought some very tasty soft fluffy bread rolls (would be even better if they came in packs of two as well as four)
And the kids got to burn some energy in the play park.
The only downside was the hot chocolate….i have a sweet tooth but that was so sweet I couldn’t drink it

We had a wonderful time today choosing pumpkins with our toddler. Entrance fee very reasonable, included a tractor and trailer ride; and a big under cover area with lots of pumpkin themed activities. Who can resist a pumpkin sticker 🎃 outdoors was well set up with push along wheel barrows for little ones, huge display of pumpkins to buy and take home. Great play area too and a great cafe and shop. Also super clean toilets

I'm really disappointed with the lack of vegan options.

We live about 10 minutes away, so it used to be a great place to pop for lunch.

I've been there twice in the past 6 months, and both times, the only vegan option they've had for lunch is a vegan sausage roll, so we've left immediately to go elsewhere. A year and a half ago, we'd go and have lunch there, and they had a proper vegan option, so I'm not sure what's changed.

Not sure if I'll bother coming back again in the hope they'll have something tasty and nutritious I can eat!

This is a great farm where you can buy raspberries, strawberries, gooseberries, currants, rhubarb, zucchini and much more. You can try any berries in unlimited quantities on the farm.

In the store you can choose delicious fish, cheeses and sauces. There are also pastries, cookies and chocolate.

Payment is possible by card/cash.

There is free parking on site and there is parking for bicycles too. There is a children's playground and a cafe where you can have a snack.

The farm area is large and in sunny weather it is very warm in the greenhouses. I highly recommend a visit to all lovers of fresh berries!

The place is definitely suitable for children; they will run around here to play and try the berries (which makes them very happy).

It is very interesting that there is an opportunity to organize a birthday here, which will be especially interesting for children.

Well - by far the best PYO farm i have visited yet! Huge place. Picking is easy as waist height for adults, young children can reach at a stretch. Fabulous and wide range of food in the food hall, lovely cafe, ice cream stand. Really lovely huge picnic area with wooden picnic benches, different areas for those that want a bit more peace, those that want to watch the children in the park and lots of undercover areas. The best thing is the milkshake machine, especially for the children. Buy your bottle in store, go to the machine, pick your flavoured syrup then put your money in the machine and press away to add the fresh milk !! children love it ! Plenty of parking.
