Delicious food tucked away in the famous Covered market in central Oxford. We went before a theatre visit and had the sharing platter - traditional Ethiopian injera pancake with 5 different taster dishes. Each complimented each other, with tasty mushroom, pumpkin, chick pea, lentil and beetroot dishes. Great for vegetarians and vegans. Well worth a visit.

This is a lovely restaurant with the most amazing stews and lentils. You must try the Injera and try not to eat with utensils. It’s spongy and sweet, and the perfect handle to grab mouthfuls of these flavorful dishes. I will definitely be back!

Every time when I go to African restaurants I get a good vibe. This place is one of those places you will face big smiles and delicious vegetarian gluten free food. Prepare yourself for fire coming out from your mouth after eating food. The platter was so nice. It can be improved.

When I'm out and about photographing tourists around Oxford this is one of my fave spots to stop for lunch (they even do take away if I don't have time to stop!).
The food is just sooooo delicious. I've been to the restaurant as well and the cafe in the covered market is a super exciting addition.

I've seen some of the reviews say it's a limited menu but honestly I don't know what more you'd want!
I love the lentils, shiro, the tasty mushroom dish. Some times there's a special. I like the pumpkin one I think it is. Plus side salads which are super tasty. I often don't even manage to have a cake as well. I'm always to full!
I always get the spiced Ethiopian tea.
Friendly staff as well.

We had a lovely meal. It was my first time eating Ethiopian food and I enjoyed it very much. We had lentils, chickpeas and pumpkin served with injira. I also had a lovely coffee.
Thoroughly recommended.
