Visited on a Wednesday, incredible food, even better priced (£16.95 for starter, main, side and a choice of rice or naan), atmosphere was a bit odd (radio playing 80’s hits), but feel like I found a genuine gem on a coal face, and felt very welcomed by front of house.

Booked up for a mid-week banquet for the lads birthday.

We get takeaways delivered from here but hadn't had a sit down meal here for 20+ years. The food choice is great, and everything was very tasty and enjoyable. Shouldn't be an odd thing but getting food served that is actually hot is a very welcome change!

Brilliant value for money on a school night, will certainly recommend and we'll definitely return. The couple that are running the restaurant are so welcoming and you can see how passionate they are.

Thanks for a great evening ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We ordered lamb naga, chicken jalfrezi, king prawn biryani and tarka daal, the flavours were delicious, spot on, however the meat, chicken and prawns portion was so little, hardly anything and not enough as we paid alot. The meat was hard, the best was the tarka dhaal and chicken jalfrezi. Biryani was nice but not the best. No salad, no poppadoms, expensive meal but it was OK.

I’ve walked into Al Talif without great expectations and I actually had an amazing food and cultural experience. I wanted to go off-the-beaten track and trying something different from the normal Indian cuisine dishes.

I’ve ordered a Lamb Shaktora with garlic naan, which is a traditional dish from Bangladesh. The food was incredibly rich, spicy but very well balanced with the bitterness of the citrus after taste.

The place is very cozy and staff very welcoming and happy to share a talk with you. Define my worth to stop by and dip into the Bangladeshi cuisine.
