21 of us arrived for lunch today . More than we initial expected for a leaving do ‘goodbye ‘

The service was friendly & accommodating throughout, very organised and calm .

We were all very pleased with our food choices and impressed by the staff managing such an unexpectedly large party.

We will certainly be back.
Thank you for the memory .

The place is revived again with new management, they have lot of beers on tap and also lot of food options are there. They have lot of offers as well. This is my go to place in case i don’t want to go to city and 3rd favorite place after Swans and Lighthouse. Recommended.

I’d avoided the pub. But the new management and chef seem to have brought back energy and life. The food is simple traditional pub classics for good prices. The staff are all friendly and efficient. Yes, the pub decor is a bit dated, but it’s all clean and suits the atmosphere. Free parking and disabled access.

Been here a few times, always busy which is always a good sign.

They have great offers on, as per pictures. They are dog friendly which is always good. Asked for a burger patty on its own for the dog, no problem at all.

Isn't very often you get an honest barman. On ordering a 2nd glass of wine, barman said would be better ordering a bottle of wine now as it works out alot cheaper. Others would have just let you order it.

Excellent experience here.
The staff were nice and the food impeccable. We tried the hunters chicken and gammon steak, both were impressively grilled and the chips were very crispy.
Desserts were good although the chocolate fudge cake was a bit too sweet to my taste.
Reasonably priced at £30 for two starters, four mains and two deserts. Would definitely come back.
