I covered my table number because I immediately felt uncomfortable. The whole place was basically empty, yet he then asked to sit next to me. After I told him I was using the table, he still chose to sit right beside me, which forced me to move seats completely.
What annoyed me the most was the staff response. When I went to order my food, I reported what had happened, and the staff member didn’t even acknowledge it properly. No “are you okay?”, no “I’ll keep an eye on it,” nothing. They just took my order and carried on like it was normal.
As a young woman sitting alone, that situation was uncomfortable and intimidating, and the lack of concern from staff made it worse.
