We visited yesterday and had a really lovely meal. It’s a charming little pub with a welcoming atmosphere, and the Thai food was excellent.

The standout dish for us was the chicken teriyaki – it was cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and one of the nicest we’ve had. The rest of the food was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented too.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we really enjoyed our visit.

We’d happily return and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Thai food in a cosy pub setting.

Lovely little pub that serves really great Thai food from the kitchen. Staff are super friendly. Food was excellent, we especially enjoyed the papaya salad, the tom yum and the pad krapow.

Really wanted to like this place but food was just okay. We ordered the pad sew ew and sea bass with tamarind sauce. The pad sew ew was slightly too salty and flavour was not balanced, and the sauce on the sea bass was quite bland. Note there is also a service charge even when ordering at the bar with no table service.

This was a spontaneous visit as we were walking by and decided to pop in for a drink. The fact that there is a Thai restaurant in the pub was a pleasant surprise and we decided to stay put for lunch and what a decision it was. The food was fresh, flavoursome and delicious. One of us went for the set lunch menu made up of a starter, a main (stir fry tofu with chilli) with jasmine rice. The portions were good and filling. The taste was spot on and the Thai basil hit the right notes. The Penang curry as well as the fried tofu in tamarind sauce finger licking good. The portions were big and very filling. The prices were extremely good too.

Old Tom Pub is a fun mix — traditional British pub in the front and a Thai restaurant in the back, each doing their thing really well. The setup draws a wonderfully diverse crowd, which just adds to the charm. The food is expertly prepared and stacks up nicely against other spots in the area, with a good selection of vegetarian options too.

Service could use a bit more attention — a few missed orders and some uncertainty about the menu — but the staff are genuinely friendly and eager to help. It can get quite busy, so making a reservation is a smart move. Overall, a great spot worth visiting!
