Bbuona, an independent Italian restaurant, offers a delightful taste of Rome right in the heart of Oxford. Overlooking the bustling Gloucester Green Market, this venue boasts a welcoming and culturally rich atmosphere, making it a firm favourite among locals and visitors alike. The combination of its vibrant setting, complete with outdoor seating, and the team's genuine passion creates an inviting space that transports guests to Italy.

The cuisine centres on authentic Roman pinsa, a unique, oval-shaped alternative to traditional pizza, crafted with a 48-hour fermented dough that is notably lighter, crispier, and easier to digest. Guests can savour a variety of pinsa options, including classic Margherita di Bufala and creative vegan choices like Ortolana, all prepared with quality Italian ingredients such as fresh burrata and organic tomato sauce. Beyond pinsa, the menu features delicious antipasti, fresh salads, traditional Italian desserts like cannoli, and a carefully curated selection of Italian coffee, wines, and refreshing spritzes, ensuring a comprehensive dining experience.

This versatile establishment caters wonderfully to a broad range of patrons and occasions. It is ideal for families, groups of friends, or a charming date night, offering both casual dining and the option for more celebratory meals. Whether one is seeking a quick breakfast, a leisurely lunch, an evening aperitivo, or a full dinner, Bbuona provides an authentic slice of Italian life, perfect for any time of day in Oxford's bustling city centre.

An absolutely amazing pizza.

This is by far the best food I have had in all of England and it was quite unexpected coming out of an Italian restaurant!

Armando and the young man who was making the pizza, along with the rest of the staff, are incredibly hospitable and welcoming. I highly recommend anyone in the area to come eat here. I'm going to go now

This place was a lovely find. I really enjoyed their speciality pinsa, which I was told is a Roman specialty and a lighter, healthier take on pizza, and it was delicious. The drinks were also very good, and the whole place had a warm, nice atmosphere. The outdoor seating is a great bonus too, especially on a good day. Overall, a really pleasant experience and definitely worth a visit.

Incredible GF crust! It was so fresh tasting and fluffy that I was almost afraid it wasn’t GF 😉(it definitely was). My husband also really liked his Pinsa with regular crust.
Different than anything we’ve had back home in the US and so glad we tried it. The desserts- gelato and tiramisu were also very notable.
The staff was incredibly thoughtful and friendly. Would love to go back some day!

Bbuona left us with mixed feelings. We ordered a pizza with mozzarella and pistachios — it was tasty, though a bit greasy, and unfortunately the cheese on top was cold. We also tried the desserts — a croissant and a cheesecake, which were quite good.

What impressed us the most was the service. It was truly amazing — we were served by a very friendly and attentive young woman who created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. As a lovely surprise, we were also treated to a complimentary tiramisu and hot chocolate.
