I think I once saw Richard Branson fly a virgin hot air balloon from here. There are alot of ducks/geese who like to hang out there. If you want to sit down on the grass. Maybe take a blanket you don't mind washing, because the ducks/geese have made quite a mess across the field. Take the blanket in a carrier bag so it doesn't contaminate whatever you have transported it in. I'm only advising this in the circumstances it's really busy but I have very rarely seen it really busy

beautiful bit of land. great for kids. trains bridges and rivers are all here. great excess by footpaths.
