We had a wonderful stay at The Osney Arms Guest House. While there is no air conditioning, the room had windows that opened for fresh air, and a fan was provided, which kept the room comfortable. The hosts also provided complimentary water and food, which was a thoughtful touch and made us feel very welcome. The self-check-in process was simple, the property was easy to access, and the location was excellent for exploring Oxford. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay.

The attention to guest comfort and the little extras made a big difference. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend The Osney Arms to anyone visiting Oxford.

Wonderful place to stay, clean and comfortable and an easy short walk into Oxford City centre. The self check in was straightforward to use and there was a very generous self serve breakfast included in the price. The hosts were easy to contact and extremely helpful and accommodating.

really lovely place to stay.
close to train station and easy walking distance from the city center.
breakfast is good, lots of options and choices of cereals, toast, pastries, fruit, and coffee with dairy and nondairy milk options.
room was clean and quiet. good heating for january. bathroom water was a good temperature for showering. couldn't hear road noise from the room which was nice. towels, soap, and lotion were provided. towels were really soft.
only thing is our door opened kinda funny, backwards of what you would think but it wasn't an issue once we knew that after the first time :)
owner is super sweet, responds to queries quickly and is very helpful. we were able to check in around 1pm and get access to our room early, which was really appreciated.

i would love to stay here again!

We stayed here for one night to visit Oxford. The location was very convenient — about a 15-minute walk to most of the university buildings and main sights.
The accommodation itself could have been a bit cleaner. There was a slightly musty smell, and the windows were quite fogged up. We also noticed some cobwebs and a bit of mold in a few places. Apart from that, everything inside worked smoothly, and the room was spacious enough for our needs.
Breakfast was sufficient, with enough options to find something to eat.
A major downside, however, were the parking arrangements. The listing online advertised parking spaces, but when we arrived, the two visible spots in the backyard were already taken. We couldn’t tell where guests were actually supposed to park. Later we were told that we could have parked directly in front of the house — but that would have meant driving over the curb and onto the sidewalk, which felt quite strange to us as non-locals.
In the end, we decided to use a Park and Ride car park for the day instead.
All in all, it was okay for one night, but the place could really use a proper deep clean.
